From what i have read its probably a real Z06. I have read that you can convert a Z06 to have a vert top.

You must be talking about that red one with a hard top. Yeah, that's a conversion. I've seen a yellow one too, with a soft top. And don't forget, Caravaggio makes a targa kit for Z06s too, there's one for sale at Z06vette.com

"One of a kind" is BS. None made by GM but as posted earlier,
Caravaggio has done conversions on a number of Z06s. Not cheap but they do a very nice job from what I have seen. There have been pictures of a couple different ones posted here previously
