Front end issue-need help!
When the steering wheel on my '02 Z06 is turned to hard right or left, the front tires bind while rolling. It will bind to a point and then I hear and feel a pop and the bind releases. It continues to bind and pop free as long as the car is moving (forward or backward) and stops only when the steering wheel is turned to straighten the car. I've taken it to my tire store and to the dealer. Neither has any idea what it is. Have any of you had a similar problem? Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

(my Z has 40k on it) I had the same problem, new tires and a frontend alignment fixed it....for about 3 months. Not sure what it is, one person suggested replacing the control arm bushings. I read a few threads about the control arm bushings (wear time) and its enough to convince me to upgrade & move on! I'm doing coilovers, sways, bushings and wheel bearings. Well after I get out of Afghanistan ---->G/L

Both my 97 and 03Z did the same. The 97 did it the day I took delivery from the dealer with 5 miles on it. Never did anything about it. It is the nature of the beast with the preferred alignment settings and wide tires. There is nothing wrong with your car so it isn't a problem.
