WTF is this ad? i would say it doesn't make sense, but sounds much more like some kind of scam.

Went to look at a parting out Vette in Brooklyn Ny and i offered to buy the complete car as is..The seller said NO DEAL since he had already reported it as stolen and collected the $$$ for it. he also stated that since it was on private property that the police or insurance guys could not search there for it.
I had to walk away from that purchase since I needed parts that had clean serial numbers on them and a bill of sale.(NY state law.)

There are plenty of Aholes out there that post an ad like this to get back at someone. I'd bet the phone number and car pictured is owned by someone other than whomever posted the ad....you get a lot of really irritating calls.....
