Check us out, I sell for the National Corvette Museum Insurance Agency (NCM Insurance Agency) and we are licensed in almost 50 states. We sell Collector Car Insurance and have great rates and service. Our underwriter is rated A+ and is great to deal with.
We are the only Insurance Agency that is a supporting vendor of this forum, and would love to have the opportunity to put together a quote for you all.
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions...

I've had Grundy for a few years.
No claims, so I don't know about that.
Prices are good, and they encourage you to drive your car. No mileage limits like some companies.
You must have a primary vehicle also.
Im not trying to sell you any insurance. Im a commercial agent with alot of experience in collector car / track day / speed shop and tuner insurance market.
Just wanted to "translate" any confusing policy info as a favor.
There are so many interruptions of what can and cannot be done with your vehicle when insured by Grundy I’m afraid to make the plunge. It seems there have been different answers to the some of the same questions. It would be nice if a Grundy and National Corvette Museum Insurance Agency rep would be very detailed in their responses and clear up some of the discussions on this thread.

I agree! I think NCM has a mileage limit which I would surpass each year; if Grundy has no restriction that is a plus. But I also like to drive my car to work any time it's sunny; which some weeks is all five days and other weeks its zero days. But they say I can only drive two days maximum to work... then they say I can't drive it to the store. Well, what if I'm on a cruise with the Vette club; then on the way home I realize I forgot to buy milk for example. If I pop into the store... BAM theres a violation against my policy.
I guess I"d just like an agreed-value policy without the limitations that traditionally seem to come with it. Any options for that? Even better if those options allow for seasonal insurance (it would be suspended five months per year).
"most" every agreed value policy in the collector market has limitations. Thats why in Michigan I usually recommend the vette on a personal auto policy.
It would depend on the mods and year/value of the car, but most standard personal insurance policies WILL offer an agreed value, and up here your usually in storage "comp only" for 6 months.
So utimately the cost is usually the same considering "most" collector car insurance is annually rated, must be paid in paid in full, no storage option, with full comp, collision and liability in the winter months.
Randyman I hope this gives you the insight and options your looking for.

I called Grundy a couple of wks ago after reading another thread on CF. The young man said that the DD has to be around the same yr of car as the one you're going to insure with them. Then someone on that thread said that didn't sound right and to call and talk with a supervisor which I plan to do when I get time.
Anyone have any experience w/ Heacock in Fla. I've been w/ Grundy for 10 years now and w/ 15 cars its getting expensive. I've been talking w/ Heacock for 6 months now and its time to switch as they quoted same coverage at half price of grundy.
I had Grundy on my 2000 C5 Coupe and I now have it on my Z06. Last year, November 09, I drove the 2000 to work. It sat in the parking lot overnight...in the morning I hit the rear defrost button and the rear window shattered. I called Grundy, told them I drove the Vette to work and the back window broke when I tried to use the rear defroster. The women on the phone said, "no problem". I didn't have to make another phone call. All the repair arrangments were made by Grundy. Rear window had to be ordered from GM....total cost $1400...total cost to me $0. The repair was done in my garage. Great company and Great customer service.
