black wheel help
I'm going to pull the trigger. I'm painting or powdercoating my speedlines. I have a 04 black C5Z, the question is what shade of black for the wheels ?? Gloss/Semi-gloss/Flat/Matte. Some of the all black C5's look killer then some look so-so. I think the shade of black on the wheels plays a big role. So whats everybodys suggestion ?? And some pics to back up your opinion would be great! Thanks

How much weight does powder coating typically add? It would be a shame to ruin the handling, acceleration, and braking prowess of those super lightweight speedlines with some heavy paint...
If you do it, however, a polished lip might look good and break up the black...

Thanks for all the feedback. Great looking cars. So is there a difference between matte/ satin/ semi-gloss ?? They seem to be different words for the same finish. Or maybe matte/ satin/ flat ?? Right/Wrong??? Thanks!!

I think you will find that Flat Black will look almost grey or something with a brown tint, not really something you want on your wheels.
Matte/Satin are probably closer together
Semi is between Gloss and Matte/Satin
