Default Lowering a C5

Did you lower your C5 for the looks or did it help the handling/stability?

I lowered my C5 because I thought it looked like a 4X4, I like the look of a lowered Vette a lot better.
Mine after lowering it handles a lot better.

on all counts. Handling is much improved, especially if you change to Bilstein Sport Shocks and C6Z51 Sways w/Metal Endlinks.

I lowered mine for looks on stock bolts, and it also handled better. After I lowered the rear 1 more inch on longer bolts, it looked better but handled worse and bottomed out all over the place. Installed Pfadt coilovers and "slammed it", with a 1-1.5' finger gap and now the car handles killer and looks great too! Coil-overs allow you to drop the car with full-suspension travel with 16-way adjust-ability.

Can you use coilovers on the F45 suspension

Why would anyone lower their C5? Ground clearance is 3.7" already. I guess it would be ok if it was strictly a track car but, I don't see how it would be a good idea for a daily driver or even a weekend car.

just the thoughts of a noob though
