I too waited until I got the Black Housing version (Thanks JWM). However, when I thought about it, maybe I struggled with the decsion too much because no one will ever really see the housing at night.

Looks like I could have some at the end of April. I will probably run a pre order sale if anyone is interested. No ebay prices though. We include directions and have the knowledge to help if you run into a problem. Those guys don't have Corvettes!
Buy the chromes, open them up and spray the unwanted chrome bits black or the graphite type colour that they really are.
I thought about that and perhaps painting the housing the color of the car, i.e. Medium Spiral Gray for me, however after receiving them, I don't want to risk really messing them up as the clear housing seems to be sealed. I like the black anyway.
black would be ideal, but it seem black is a bit harder to come by.
In reality, no one will see them unless you decide to raise pop them up an turn the lights "off" to show it off. In the end of the day, either is better than not seeing at night.
besides stock is chromed, its not that horrible. but go black if you have the option
