Default Bubbles forming in window tint.

I bought my 98 2 years ago. It has 12% tinted windows on the sides and back glass. Lately, the back glass is forming bubbles between the film and glass. Some are 1/8 inch, others larger. I was told to use a hair dryer to smooth them out but never did it before. Any suggestions how I can remedy this?

Thanks!

To me, it sounds like inexpensive window tint done by a novice do it your selfer. Not much you can do now except rip it off and have it redone by a pro, or try it yourself. Good Luck!

At this point, you'll never get the bubbles out. Temporarily until you tear and re tint, you can hit them with a razor, squirt some soapy water, and squeegy them down. It will look better than bubbles, but it's really gotta come off

Having bubbles form at the top of the rear glass is very common..the glass has those annoying dots there and the tint will always come loose there.

If its not really bad you could use a sharp needle and touch it to each hole an press the air out. Not the best fix but cheap.

Too late for the hair dryer. Better of peeling it and start over, have it done by an expert and get a guarantee.

An expierenced tint shop will know how to remedy the area on the back window. I had mine done in a 20 year shop and they Install a vinyl section about 6" wide on the upper section to avoid the bubble effect at the heating element. I've had mine on for 7 years and still looks great with no lifting or bubbles. Use the best tint though, it's worth it in the long run.

PITA but that's the best way to solve the problem.

No these are near the bottom. They actually did a great job on the top dot matrix.
