Default BBK vs FAST Intake

any comments or thoughts...? I am collecting Mods for an upcoming "big event"

Pros or Cons I need to by an intake.. also what size TB. I am not modifying the guts of the LS1 (2003 Coupe)

My plan is the following...

HUD (got the full kit last week)
Vararam
LG Long Tube
Corsa Cat backs
Tune

And maybe the 3.42 rear end I have in the garage from a 99 with #k on it....

Thanks in advance

Sarge

well i have the BBK intake and all in all i am happy with my purchase. it was very easy to install and im sure with the long tubes and the cat back that u are putting on u should be able to get the power gains they claim.

FAST, no comparison with the BBk unless you are doing a show car and want it polished. You will see more gains with the FAST. Ron from Vengeance Racing will hook you up. They did my ported FAST.

If it wasn't for the fact that the engine bay theme I have is "fully polished", I wouldn't have gotten an aluminum intake. My Weiand/Lingenfelter is good, but can't compare to a FAST.

Actually, I'd keep the LS6 intake and save the money. Unless you do a cam or some heads, it would be a waste spending the cash. The LS6 intake has great throttle response and will work great on a mildly modded engine.

Unless you're dying to blow some cash...

Charlie said I got about 10 more horsepower from the ported FAST and 90mm T/B. It will pay off more when I put the heads and cam on, but you'll have to decide if $1200 is justified in your head for 10 rwhp. On LS1 heads and cam you might see even less.
