Default Michelin PS4

Two questions on tires for a 2002 Z06.

I have heard that Michelin has come out with a PS4 tire. I was going to buy PS2 tires but I can't find anything on the web about these PS4's even on the Michelin site. Anybody know anything about these?

I also would like to know if there is any reason I can't can't go 305's on the rear instead of the factory 295's. i have lowered the car but just on the stock bolts and not even as far as those could go.
Thanks for the help.

Haven't heard anything about PS4's, and nothing wrong with 305's in the rear...except that they don't make PS2's in a 305. If they did, I would have went with them instead of the 295 as well.

Thought about that, but I was worried that it was too short and would cause T/C issues when used with the 265/40 front tire.

Michelin does make a 305/30/19 for the rear. That's the size I put on and went with 275/35/18 in the front.

I believe the assumption is that the OP has stock Z06 rims, judging by his avatar and the mention of "factory 295's".

I have the 315/30/18s with 265/40 fronts, they were on the car when I purchased it. No TC issues but the sidewall is shorter on the rears. Had the car for 6+ months and actually just noticed it the other day and now it bothers me, lol.

I'm by no means an expert, but I do work for Michelin. I have seen advertisements on a PS3. I believe that it is going to be released in Europe first and then in North America in 2011. But I haven't seen any PS4 advertisements.

And that was the other issue that concerned me...what would the side walls look like. You could always pick up a used set of stock rear 18's to run on the front with with a shorter side wall to balance the look. Like most problems...keep throwing money at them until they go away.
