I was thinking about having a Hurst shifter installed soon. Could someone please post a picture of the shifter installed? I was hoping to get an idea of what it would look like.
Time for that Ken King boot I keep hearing about!Yes ....I will be getting the short boot......I just have to decide either the red or the red/black combo....:D
Great Pics Gary, of course I got too see and FEEL your shifter :D I havent been the same since  BTW, I will have the KK two tone R/B short boot installed over the weekend if YOU want to see it.
Seems like Vetters just can't help but posting their stick pics!
Seriously though, changing the shifter out (or heavily modifying the stock unit) is an absolute must do. Those of you who are on the fence, hereby take heed! :D
Installed mine yesterday. Set it a little looser than what came from the factory. But what an improvement over the stock pos shifter! :yesnod: :yesnod: I cut the stock boot about 11/2" down and put it back over the plastic ring and restapled it. Looks natural now. No squished down look :)
How's the road noise with the Hurst ? I have a Kirban and the rattle is driving me nutz
Jeff, Gary is right :yesnod: I really don't hear any road noise, but I have a WCC Z06 aluminum billet shift ****. It's heavier than the stock ****, so I guess it dampens the vibration. No shake, rattle or roll! :D Just positive, short shifts!! I am so glad I changed :yesnod:
