Hello,
My car loses fuel pressure after sitting and it was diagnosed as a bad fuel pump. Car is a 2001 Corvette. Runs fine other than losing pressure and is hard to start after sitting. I've heard that these pumps have an anti-drainback valve inside. Do I have to replace the fuel pump itself to fix this or is the drainback valve in the assembly somewhere? Does anyone have a diagram?
I don't think so. There were also 2 fuel systems in the C5. The early cars had a return line to the tank the later cars had a single line. Probably a leaky injector staying open after the car is off.
