Here's a few pictures from a trip last month of 1282 miles to the Big Bend Area of Texas. Got a set of non-run flats so I carried an OEM tire and wheel for a spare. Had plenty of room for two suit cases, boots, heavy jackets, a couple of tools, jack, lug wrench, etc.
Averaged 25.4 mpg for the overall trip even with the 80 mph limit on I-10.
The road we drove up to get to the view. It runs along the river.
The river that was cut through the mountains thousands of years ago. Float trips and canoe trips can be taken for miles.
Going down was as steep as going up.....15% grade.
A view from just below the Nat'l Park Lodge.
The earlier pic of the Cemetery was at Terlingue where the World famous Chile Cook Off is held in October every year. The General Store there has the old drunken goat now stuffed and on diplay.
I only pushed the Vett to 100 mph one time when we were almost to the area when we saw a long, flat stretch of road that must have been 5-7 miles long.
So you found a nearby racetrack where you could get it up to speed huh? Cool.....
