Just finished installing the Corsa x pipe to compliment the Corsa Pace axlebacks on my 02 vert. Had been running just the axlebacks for about 2 weeks with the stock H pipe. I found the interior noise on acceleration a bit more than I wanted, especially when the top was up. With the x pipe installed the motor boat idle disappeared replace with a low bassy rumble and the acceleration exhaust sound is a very nice low rumble. Thanks Corsa!
This sounds very interesting. I have Corsa touring on mine and have heard that an x pipe will make it sound better. Does it just bolt right up with no mods?
Thanks

Are any of you with the X running an M6 tranny?? I'm running Corsa touring with my 6speed and stock H-pipe!! I am kinda conflicted about installing an X because I dislike the motor boat put put at idle,,,BUT I love the rumble pop on deceleration. QUESTION::: Do you loose ALL the rumble pop OR is it just reduced??? I'd like to smooth out the sound with the X,,,but I'd HATE to loose ALL the rumble pop!!
I have the stock H pipe into an Indy Pace System with Tiger Shark tips. I'm not very happy with the system other than higher RPMs when it has that Indy type sound. Idle, low, and mid RPM doesn't sound very great. I really want an X-pipe in there. Preferably attatched to some Headers. But may just add the X. I might go with the Borla though.

You are going to have to cut your stock h pipe off after the cats and the new x pipe should have widened tips that slip over the stock pipes. You simply (and by simply I mean cursing, screaming and loudly pounding) slip the new pipes over the stock ones after carfefully measuring and cutting off the stock h pipe section. All that you have to do after that is secure/tighten clamps, bolt up the flanges of your x pipe to the flange end of your over the axle pipe of your exhaust, and line up your tips again cause you have to loosen the mufflers from the over the axle section to get them to bolt up. This would be a great time to install some new gaskets cause your old ones are likley going to fall apart when you remove the stock h pipe. I don't have the part number, but you can get them at Oriely's Auto Parts.
The whole process is pretty easy, with the most important part being the measurement of the cut for the stock h pipe.

I agree with Scriz, except for some strange reason mine sliped on without the required sreaming on any corvette mod.
You need to cut the stock midpipe after the O2 sensors and clamp, then bolt up to the axlebacks. I bought a $10 exhaust pipe cutter form Harbor Freight and made the cut in 2 minutes. Instructions form Corsa are great so measure twice cut once. Make sure the clamps are facing down before you "slip" on the X pipe. (ask me how I know.....)

RATS!!! I was hoping there would still be a little bit left,,maybe at a reduced level and/or a little more muted level. I like to downshift slowing for a stop just to hear the wind down growl followed by a little rumble pop!! Oh well probably still put it on anyhow!!

I think you will find that the results will be exactly what you are looking for. I have Corsa Pace Car Tigersharks with a WCC (West Coast Corvette) X-pipe. After the X-pipe install the decel "pop" is still there, but is definately muted.
