Iam looking to buy a set of these tires for the rear of my 2001z06 to replace my 555rs and was wondering if they would fit without rubbing issues in a 305 45 18 size. Any input would be helpfull. thanks

305/45/18 would not be my first choice by any means. Sidewall is gonna be pretty tall on that. About 5.4 inches if my math is correct. My RII's 305/35/18's have a sidewall of about 4.2 and I wouldn't want anymore or need anymore than that. IMHO they would look goofy even if it does fit. I wouldn't run it and I am sure there might be better choices out there. Looks like you have FI and more so you need some grip but idunno about the 45..

If your main use is drag racing, 305/45 is THE perfect size drag radial for the c5 & c6 corvettes. It fills the wheel well and gives you the extra sidewall you need to keep from breaking halfshafts.

Ive used both 305/35 and 305/45 and the 45 wins hands down.

If you don't drag race I wouldn't get the 305/45. The extra sidewall that helps the car launch will flex and hurt performance in the corners.
