Default Pfadts installed - pix!

I just got my Pfadt coilovers installed on my 2003 Z06 yesterday and took a few pix after washing her up tonight. I wrote up a quick post with my first impressions after the drive home last night but it was rainy and slippery so I didn't get a chance to see how the new coils performed. I'll be sure to put a bunch of miles on the rest of this week to find out though!

nice, you will love the adjustability! Toy with the front a bit to bring it down a touch and it will be perfect!

I'm at around 26.5" to the fenders in the front and just under 27" to the fenders in the rear. I have one-up-size Nitto RII's on the car (275/40/17 front, 305/35/18 rear), so the car sits a tick higher than it would with stock tire sizes. I had a corvette racing shop do the install, corner balance and alignment so I'm going to stick with the heights they have it set at. It rides absolutely perfectly straight...I barely need to touch the steering wheel to keep her going down the road. I will, however, play with the dampening settings. They had all 4 corners set to a 6 (out of 16), which is pretty soft (rides like a Caddy!). I increased the rears to 7 and I'll find out how she rides tomorrow on the way to work. Looking forward to that first on ramp!!!

Had my first drive in good weather with the Pfadts this morning on the way to work. Let's just say the "fun" onramp to get on the highway was ALOT more fun. The ride quality is great when cruising but the car stays nice and flat in the turns. I couldn't be happier, and I'm sure the big stupid grin on my face will become bigger and bigger the more I drive the Z with the coils now on!

Corvette Sports in Sheboygan Falls, WI (about 45 mins north of Milwaukee). They were recommended by Pfadt. Here is the website:

And here is their performance division website:

Wow, looks great! I think I am sold on these things versus lowering on stock bolts. If you dont mind, where did you get them from and what about was the price?

East Coast Supercharging was running a forum-member-sale a month or so ago. I got the Pfadts from them for $1599 shipped. Now THAT is a killer price!

Also, if you have the funds, I would definitely go with coilovers or aftermarket shocks to lower your car vs. doing it with the bolts. I can not believe how much better the car rides on a suspension system designed to run at any ride height. My car was lowered on stock bolts and I thought it drove ok prior to the coilover installation...but wow...it's a night and day difference now!
