I'm shipping wheels tomorrow and need some info. I've seen and heard of using cardboard to protect the face of the wheels but what plastic wrap or tape do you use to wrap the wheel and cardboard to the wheel. When I recieved my wheels they were wrapped in plastic, almost like heavy duty saran wrap with a cardboard flat against the face of the wheel.

You can probably find some of the saran wrap type stuff at say a UPS Store - just wrap them with that and then maybe a strip or two of duct tape for good measure. Last time I shipped wheels and tires I had boxes that were made for that purpose.
That is what I thought but didn't know if there was a place to buy it since I will probably be using a lot. I think those stores tend to overcharge for supplies. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
If you have tires also you can cut circles of cardboard and use one for the back and two for the front. Then wrap in a "plus pattern" with strapping tape. Not duct tape. If your shipping the wheels only you will need boxes as there is no protection for the edges of the wheels then.
I called FedEx/Kinko's and they do not have the wrap but UPS does and it's only $1.95 per wheel. I have the cardboard so I'm all set, thanks for the help.
You can go to a U-Haul shop and buy 2 boxes they sell for dishes.
They are tall enough to put 2 wheels inside each. Place some cardboard between the 2 wheels
