Squeaking belt......I think.
Hey guys...I have a 02Z that I just had a cam, headers, oil pump, and all the little odds and ends that come with a cam install recently done. Today, I jumped on it and when I started slowing down I started to hear this squeaking noise under the hood. It went away below 2K rpms but now it starts at apprx 1200 rpm. When I sprayed a little belt dressin on it, it went away for a bit.
Oil pressure and coolant temps are fine. The belt is origional with only 12K miles on it.
My question to you is.....are the chances good that it is JUST the belts?.....

I replaced the a/c belt and belt tensioner pulley. The squeak went away for a bit and then came back...... I'm wonderin if the idler pulley went bad as well. Tomorrow I am going to pull the serpentine belt and start the car for a quick sec and see if the squeak is still there and if it is then it should be the idle pulley.
Do both of those go bad?
