Either save the money or look at Warranty Direct, they are legit. I've used this company numerous times on a BMW we owned and they never asked questions. I have a warranty with them for my 97' right now as well.

I just renewed my GMPP Major Guard for another three years. You will have a deductible now with an '04 model year, which you may not have had before.

Within the link I provided is my reply in post #21. That explains how I got the best deal for me.

Dennis Fichtner of FICHTNER CHEVROLET is one vendor who offers the warranty.

Jason Walter of ROSS DOWNING CHEVROLET is the other vendor who offers the warranty.

Both of the above are members on CF. Call them. Nice gentlemen to speak to and will answer any GMPP questions for you.

I have Warranty Direct too. Placed two claims without any problems.

I bought my 3 year extended warranty from Dennis Fichtner, got a fabulous price. Give him a call and I'm sure he can fix things up for you. I priced my GMPP extended warranty with four GM dealers, and Fichtner beat all of the by $2K

Check out Warrany Direct here, there's lots to read up on: http://www.google.com/search?q=warra...ient=firefox-a
I'd only get a GMPP warranty.

I'd go with the GMPP Major Guard warranty. I renewed the extended on my '02 in Dec 2008. In Feb I had a cracked rear wheel replaced and just last week I had the whole reverse gear assembly, shifter and drivers seat back replaced on the warranty. Almost $4K for all of it and it cost me 2 $50 deductables.

Got both my original extended and the renewal from Fichtner Chev.

Check with Dennis Fichtner at Fichtner Chevy (forum member CeYaBye). I extended my warranty through him last November.
