Here we go again! After being out of the market for about 6 months, the bug reached me again. Not by choice but let me explain.
My sisters friend has a 2000 coupe, Red, 1 owner, about 85K miles,
MN6, HUD, Memory package, Chromies.
It had some minor issues:
Airbag light was on
AC compressor kept cycling
and as I remember it, the oil pressure light was on.
It ran fine, like a vette should run. When thru all the gears.
quick, nice.
At the time, she wanted 14k since she is my sisters friend.
But I told her about the things I mentioned above.
Fast forward 8 months.
My sister just sent me an email telling me she want to let it go for 10K as-is.
The Air bag and the A/C wouldnt faze me one bit,the low oil pressure could be an issue especially if it has really low pressure and it has been driven like that for awhile.I would suggest borrowing it and running it by a shop for a quick look and accurate pressure test.If someone comes up to me with a 10k ish 1 owner 00 model with an m6 and 85 k miles with no wrecks and a decent motor they will prob be walking home unless i decide to give them a ride in the car they used to own.

At $10K you have a lot of wiggle room to make things right. I wonder if there is really an oil pressure problem. Good Luck!
$10K for a 2000 with a history, a good history, I'd say most definitely. I don't know about the air bags light, I'd check the codes, but the A/C cycling most likely is a leak of the R134 somewher in the system. But it sounds like a great deal with a lot of room to make it right so long as you like the color. Either way, Good luck.

My 2000 vert is great AND, 6 years ago I paid 3 times the amount you'll pay. Like my son's wife says to him when he finds a vehicle he really wants and is a great deal--"what the he-- you waiting for?"
Allright! Enough! I can't take it anymore.
I am making final arrangements to get the car over the weekend.
I can't wait to get into it again, the thrill of a MN6 is unlike anything else.
Thanks for all of your feedback.
And I am sure you'll see me around more often, now that I am back in the saddle again.
Thanks Again!!!!

sounds like a great buy. I have a 2000 and I have not had any problems with 37k miles. Much improvements over previous 3 years.. engine oiling, block modification done is better, thin spokes, cam shaft was changed and actually had more lift so overcome non ls6 intake..replace with ls6 intake and see more power in higher rpms.. on 2001 and up cam shaft was smaller to bring hp down in line with previous years vettes. 10k for a c5 is great! seems like the problems you are having are small but you do have lots of wiggle room to fix them money wise. good luck.

Great to hear all the good feedback!
And there may be a little bit of negotiating due to the A/C.
I am talking with the bank and hope to have it in my possession by the weekend!!!!
