The RSD Snap shifter is a modified C6 shifter. Modified meaning that RSD cut about an inch off the top of a OEM C6 shifter and added 9/16-18 threads ( like a C5). Retail price is $245 . Way to knotchy for my taste. But all shifters , OEM and aftermarket are subjective. I've never experienced a shifter that did not have to be adjusted or modified to work satisfactory.
I'm currently using a Hurst C6 3915086 that is modified to eliminate that knotchy feel, also using the Venom detent bolt. Also using a lightened Hurst T handle for more control.
My advice is to know what you want from the shifter, any shifter. The shorter the throw the more knotchy it feels.
Opinions on shifters are to be taken with a grain of salt. The reason I say this is because one person's like is another person's hate. That being said, I've run the B&M ripper, C6Z, and MGW shifters.....and I still have the MGW. The C6Z (RSD snap) is still an OEM shifter, and for me the throws are just too long. Long throws equal missed shifts. That's not to say the MGW doesn't have it's own issues....one being the stiff notchy feeling of an aftermarket shifter.
My advice is to go to a local Vette gathering, and "tryout" the different shifters of the cars. That's the only way to see what you like and dislike without spending a bunch of money
Throws are shorter but they do require a little bit more effort. However, they are precise and the machining is top notch. Even includes new allen bolts and allen keys for you. The plastic cup is eliminated from the MGW systems, there's no need for it and the metal ball is already greased.
