The seller carefully showed no pictures of the drivers seat side bolster which gets all the wear. There are no engine compartment pictures. There are no mentions of stock or modified, or tires. Assuming it is a stock car, in excellent condition all around, with good neweer tires his opening bid is right at the price the car should be. Without further detailed information I would not bid. If you want white with a red interior, contact the seller and get a lot more information.
Looks good to me. I bought a Mag' Red Vert in November for $ 19,2000. Manual, except it had new Runflats, which could be the difference, it had 44M miles.
Good luck !
Too many unknows without a lot more detail given by the seller about the car. I agree with KMColdcars that he hasn't given you pictures of potentially some problem areas - bolsters, tires, underhood etc. Maybe they all check out - yet maybe something is being hidden you don't know unless you get more detail. When I bought my 02 Vert the seller had 40 plus pictures that I could initially see - that grabbed my attn. (then we talked a lot more - before I pulled the trigger)
I would email the seller and ask for his phone number or ask that he call you. I don't know about you but I like to hear- listen- and read people to get a feel for if they are real or BS-ing you.(not always right...but you will get a gut feel) You probably will feel a lot better if the guy comes across as a straight shooter. You might also want to see if there is another forum member out there that can check out the car for you in person??
Also keep in mind that you are dealing with a new Ebay seller. He has only sold golf clubs to one person - that's his only track record you can use in determining if he's reliable seller! (that might also be a reason he's not giving you too much in the ad - he might be unfamilar with what people want to see and read about the item they are selling).
Starting price is reasonable if all checks out. Good Luck!!
I like the White with the Red Interior. I think it's in about the right price range. If you are interested it doesn't take much to request a few more Pictures of the specific things you would like to see. When I sold my 88 Vert on Ebay, I didn't have many Interior Pictures and the Buyer wanted to see more. So I went out and snapped exactly what they wanted to see. If once you get the information you are looking for and are satisfied, run the VIN through CarFax just to see if it reveals anything. Over All from the Pictures it looks like a fairly well kept car.
To seat leather, tires, and engine compartment/mod question, I would add rocker panels, the ones that wrap under (between the F/R wheels) so far that they often get hit and expensively crunched.
Looked at more photos, no surprises. A couple of very small marks on the drivers bolster, tires are at about 70%, complete maint records, has adjustable suspension. I figure the car at a maximum of 19200, the seller is thinking 21500. What say the forum????
That's a fair deal. Looks pretty stock. I have always liked the white with red interior. Depending on where you live, it may be worth a flight out to check the car out before you front the cash.

I purchased my low mileage 2002 Z06 this year for that. Had to replace the tires as the only upgrade since. Remember run flats start at 10/32 tread depth and the wear bars are at 2/32 and tire should be replaced at 4/32. If they are original tires, one cannot determine their life usage from pictures; they could be cupping, be on bent wheels, irregular wear marks, run with out of spec alignent. If you purchase, expect to replace the tires sometime soon unless the owner can provide you with the information on when he put new tires on the corvette. You will want to know the build date (week - month) stamped on the inboard side of the tire. Nice combination,f white and red. Sound advice on calling the owner and talk with him at great lengths; I have done this on all 4 corvettes I have purchased over the internet and have been pleased with the results.
If 21,500 is his reserve?....he most likely isn't going to sell it on Ebay.(In which he's also going to have to pay a sellers fee) You/or some other car guy needs to see it and drive it to get the feedback you need. If it's the color and condition you want....then you should come off the 19.2k number and he will most likely come down. It would be worth another 1K over your max number if it's everything you want.
Two half years ago i pulled a trailer from TX to FL for a 2000 vert 11k miles. I know i paid premium price for it but he knew he had a gem. Me looking for almost a year after seeing 40 different c5 verts as soon as i saw it i knew it the one so price didnt matter.
My point is... my opinion you wont know till you see it. Fly down take a look. If your as picky as me youll look every detail over.
It being on ebay maybe no one with hit the reserve so might get it for a better price or give you time to ask questions an see the car. Never know though may be the car you been looking for.
Me personally wouldnt bid till after seeing the car. So if your interested go take trip an see it. It worked out good for me so hopefully will for you too. Good luck to you
You can always contact the seller on ebay and ask to have him email you specific pics and answer any questions.
It is also very very common for someone to contact the seller and offer to take the car for less and cancel the auction early. Some sellers like to know they have a sale for sure and do that.
Can't you find C5's available in your area for sale that you can go and look at? The world is full of C5's for sale. I can't tell where you're from because you haven't finished filling out your profile but C5's are everywhere.
