I have LT's, high flows and Corsa touring -- pretty quiet at idle - very nice sound under part throttle and nicely loud at WOT .. really like the combo....and zero drone.

The sound will only be slightly quieter, but you will get rid of the sour egg smell my wifey hates without cats

While I don't run them,,,I have helped put some Random technology high flows on my buddies car,,and I am sure they are all about the same construction. I would guess there would be a slight improvement ,,but not very much. They are pretty small in size,,and the catalyst honeycomb matrix is pretty wide open structure compared to stock cats!! With Corsa Touring they should help a little,,just a W.A.G.,,I'd say 10-15% reduction!!

I have a Z with random technology cats and no headers. It made that car quite a bit louder. A friend of mine has a C6 and we had to remove the cats; one was bad. He has headers and it made the car slightly louder. Headers seem to make it talk.

Yea... I had put the Corsa on with stock exhaust manifold and cats and it sounded much better... But when I went to long tubes and no cats that thing was and still is a monster. The car is H/C car and the thing sounds down right mean at idle and all thru the rpm range. I regained some of the low end torque lost with the cam and would not consider going without the headers but want to mellow it out sound wise anyway and I'm hoping the cats will improve that situation???

I have heads/cam forged engine supercharger, long tubes

I have the answer for you because I had random tech high flow cats (which I have for sale by the way haha)

I removed them last week and the car didn't seem to get any louder. So they dont make much of a difference at all in sound like peter pan said. I have the pacecar catback and I think its a tad too loud but I like it, surprised with the touring that you have complaints.
Now if you weld the stock cats on I think it'll make a 10% difference

the best way to quiet your car at this point is a zo6 catback

As far as the Corsa's go, don't let the word "Touring" fool you!!!
This thing sounds angree! I do like it and wouldn't say I have a complaint... Just want to tone it down a tad!!! You can still cruise at highway speeds and only slightly notice an exhaust note....Thanks for the info all!!!

Interesting to hear this. I have a cammed A4 with LG LTs and hiflo cats plus x-pipe and Corsa Pace Car exhaust. Talk about sounding angree! I am also thinking about ways to tame it a little bit. I was thinking of going "Touring" but it sounds like I'd have the same problem. I have also considered trying B&B PRTs (that's their version of noise cancellation technology) and GHLs. I love the current sound at idle (though it could be a little lower and I'd like it even better) and no DRONE whatsoever. Wish I could keep that and yet have the high side of moderate throttle up to WOT a little tamer.

zo6 catback would probably work for you or the touring. its hard because this is all opinion on what loud is...I had the B&B route 66 before it was really quiet, quieter than a zo6 catback probably
