Oncoming C6 waved at me FIRST!
First time this has ever happened to me...I always am the one waving first, and some of the time I get one in return, but most of the time I get zip. Yesterday I was en route to Home Depot when a silver C6 approached on a 2 lane road...I was surprised when he waved at me first...I had to scramble to wave back, but I got it in in time! Maybe my menacing front end got his attention. Anyone else enjoy this Milestone?
Ever notice how no matter how fast you are going, they need to go faster. I've not yet driven with one for any length of time. Seems like if they are ahead of me and I catch up, they feel the need to pull away. I'm not interested in a ticket so I just wave goodbye.
Just driving down the road last night at the 40mph speed limit, look in my rear view mirror and a new camaro is heading my way crazy fast. He gets right up behind me, then decides to blow by me at least 20mph over the speed limit. I swear that whenever i am out, every tom, dick, and harry wants to race. I don't know if its me being 32 with the hat turned backwards and shades on and looking like a punk kid driving a vette has anything to do with it lol. Oh yeah, it seems like all vettes wave around here, C6 owners wave first around here sometimes also, but you can pick out the ones that think they are better than you.
Funny, because my local Corvette Club is slowly turning into a C6 Corvette Club. They do like to show off their extra HP, however I always get even when I park my C5 vert next to them and more people oogle and ogle over how better looking my car is than their cars.
I was originally planning to tade into a C6, however my C5 is just too damn good looking so my new plan is to add a C6Z to the stable. That way I will have the best of both worlds. Unless the C7 is better, than the C6 is bye-bye.
Most of the younger generation or new people to vettes have no idea about the wave. Some times l feel a the owner of a C6 has to be on crack to wave to me.
Years ago if a vette pulled over on the side of the road for any reason before you know it there would be 5 vettes of all years parked behind him to find out if everything is ok.
