January 2018 update: I don't have the instructions for this procedure anymore. Sorry guys...I don't even have the vette anymore. I am not here much and wanted to let everyone know that is the reason I didn't respond to the PM's. Best of luck with the fix!

Reason: Update
well, lucky for me, the parts guy at my dealer doesn't know a CV boot from a rack and pinion boot and gave me another day to get a write up. Yes, he ordered me a steering boot not a CV boot. can you believe this guy works in a parts department???????
anyone with more info on this?
I was going to post in here about how this is all due to the fact that you bought some used parts but saw you ripped some guys already for making comments like that. Then I thought ahhh what the hell your on vacation and I'm at work picking up your slack so......
You should really think about going to a different dealership for parts! It is not like you work for the dealership or a subsidiary of them.
As long as you can get the part by Sunday and clear the schedule with your wife, you can fix your CV boot and my water pump while I sit back and drink a case of beer!
I have the one from the e-service manual I can email you - when the friggin' power comes back on. I do have half the house powered through a generator but the half with my desktop in it is dark and cold. Wife's office is up and running though and my laptop is serving me well.
I will email it as soon as the power is restored if you still want it.
