Winters Modfest is almost done!
What's a guy to do when the snow is falling? Think about what he is modding next. I also wanted to fix some of the little nagging problems. I put in a new resistor for the fan, and replaced the faceplate on my AC controls (there was a cut in mine). I also gutted the interior and put in that foil backed sound deadener from Madvette Motorsports . I would say it improves the stereo sound and keeps the tunnel heat bearable. It is not perfect but is an improvement.
With that done I wanted some more tire under the car. I found a great set of wheels and tires being sold by 03BlackZ06 . The tires stick better and I love the new look.
I then felt the need for more speed, so I bought myself a set of heads from Legman , with hardened pushrods and Yella Terra roller rockers. I also got a FAST 90 intake and LS2 TB from member BB Fox . I sent these to Jeremy Formatto for porting. I also had my heads milled .025 for the increased compression. I needed an adapter so I found what I needed from Spectre86 . I got all of this together and have now put some miles on it to make sure everything was good.
I now need to get some tuning done, and it will be on to the next project. If you are looking for good parts and honest people this is the place to be. I am hoping to have Dyno #'s and some video soon. Here are some pics (lousy) to show the work. I have to clean the motor up some but you get the idea.
