Airbag switch...Key Specific?

Airbag switch...Key Specific?
I was wondering if the airbag on/off switch that's in the glove box is key specific or will any corvette key work in any switch. Anybody have any info?

Interesting question - unfortunately I only have the key to my car to try it. Hopefully someone that has two C5s can let us know.

I guess I'll find out today. I'm changing out my ignition cylinder and door locks and I didn't know if I should worry about changing the airbag switch. The key doesn't go all the way in to the chip, so I don't think it will matter. I'll let you know what I find out.

It's not key specific. Both keys that I have will turn the airbags on and off. I was worried about changing it out but forgot about the glove box and console locks. Something to look into for late I guess.
