Default Temp display question

The AC temperture display on my '01 Z is very dark.I can hardly see the read-out. Is this normal, or is something wrong?

Not normal and a high failure item. One question first would be if your DIC display is dark at the same time? If both are dark, during the daytime, there's a sensor at the top of the DIC controller that would be the cause. However, if the DIC is normal and the HVAC display is dark, then there are resistors on the circuit card of the HVAC controller that need to be re-soldered. Use the search to find lots of information on this.
