Throttle body spacer?

Does anyone have a throttle body spacer? How much hp do you gain? Is it a "safe" mod? My buddy has a ls1 in his rockcrawler buggy and swears by it telling me i need one for my z06. I haven't been able to find much literature on this or even a place that sells them for the ls6.

Any input?

Don't forget to put the electric supercharger before the TB, not after.

So basically, if I put on a TB spacer- I'll be forced to swap over to synthetic blinker fluid

The idea for this was certainly inspired from spacers placed btw the carbureator and intake manifold which did work since it increased the air velocity through the manifold and into the heads.

However, this doesn't work for fuel injected motors.
