Anyone take thier dogs fo a ride in the vette? I may be about to get a german shepherd between one-three years old. So i was wondering if you did did you put something in the seat. If you have a pic of your dog with the vette post it up, I will as soon as I get mine.
Did not take mine yet, but they will be going this summer, at least my older guy. I was going to get one of those Seat Armor covers and use his harness. I would never let them ride in the car without the harness. One accident or even sharp turn can be tragic.
One concern about allowing a large dog to ride in your Corvette is the air bag. He'll probably be heavy enough to set the sensor. You might consider turning off the passenger side air bag. An air bag going off in the face of a human can be scary/harmful enough, let alone a dog in a collision.
The seat bottom cushion isn't going to be large enough for a large dog w/o the potential for front feet slipping off. I've never do it with our Rottie...

You know that is something I didn't think about..Thanks for the suggestion I will be doing that.
She jumps into the back and just lies down. I have a weathertech mat in the back and a console cover for her to jump onto and into the back. I put a thick towel on the seat and never had a problem.
Downside is that l have to take out the Hoover and spend at least an hour getting rid of her hair.

Oh hell yes. I've got two and I take them both. It's just a damn car.
My German Shepard always goes for rides with me in my vert. I dont know who loves it more. We get LOTS of attention with the top down. I dont mind vaacuming the car out weekly.

Hey Russell! I can't take my dogs in either Corvette - both are convertibles, and I cannot take one without the other.
A 90lb Aussie Shephard/Border Collie mix and an 85lb Pit/Black Lab will not fit together in one seat. These two are sisters and are completely inseparable. Personally I don't mind having a dog in the car, but two in the front seat of a convertible is a little much.....

Dude with two pups that size I can see why not, you wouldn't have any where to ride yourself. I am just hoping if we get one of these German Shepherds that it gets to that size, I like big dogs.
