VSS Hookup-dumb question

Default VSS Hookup-dumb question
Ok, I'm hooking up my Pioneer Z110 VSS wire. I've read many posts that say to hook it to the green/white wire behind the instrument cluster. I get that, but can you tap into this wire downstream so you don't have to remove the instrument cluster?

dont worry about the VSS wire
Its not worth the effort to do this.
