So I'm going to the LPGA Bell Micro Classic in Mobile Alabama and all the way from New York. The smart money is on flying... or is it? My '01 has 120K on it but it looks and runs like 20K. Knock on wood, nothing serious in 9 years.
Am i crazy to want to do a springtime road trip in the 'vert?
Go for it.
Get out and see some of the country.
Stop at places of interest to you.
Stop off at the National Corvette Museum and plant and spend the day.
(there is a hotel right across the parking lot from the museum)
Take a photo-journal to document the trip.

I say go for it!! As long as the car has been properly cared for and not abused too much on a regular basis,,,2-300,000 is not unreasonable!!One of my golf buddies bought a GMC Sonoma in 97. When he traded it in last year(cash for clunkers) he had just a few miles under 600,000 on the all original, unopened drive train!! It was still running fine,,all on regular oil no less!! These cars, with their synthetic oil, could really last a LONG time!! Travel is ONE of the reasons I bought a C5!! Great road manners, smooth ride,,,AND GREAT highway mileage to boot!! I MUCH prefer "flying" my Corvette to commercial air travel!!! Enjoy the trip,,,,and watching the ladies!!! Not only do they have game,,,,but some are knock outs to boot!! Enjoy the trip!!!
ok! you guys are just a bunch of enablers! but never mind, you talked me into it! 2600 miles in a 'vert is an easy sell. but i may hold you guys to it if i need a late night repair...
