Default Does anyone have XSVI-2004 installed???

Hi guys,

I just installed the XSVI-2004 from sonic electronics, along with my new deck. Everything looks ok, but when I attempt to adjust the XSVI by turning the 4 srews, nothing happens. Also the power light indicator on the box isn't on. Everything else seems to work ok. The radio works, but doesn't sound all that great, and I'm wondering if it's because of the XSVI. However, what is working is the acceries switch...meaning even after the car is off the radio still works.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any adive would be much appreaciated.

I'm installing one next week with a Pioneer 8200BT. I'll post the results--wish me luck...

In the meantime, if anyone else had any issues or insite that would be great.

Cheers.

Did you hook up the blue/white wire from the aftermarket deck to the blue/white wire on the xsvi? That wire is what turns on the woofers.

Pretty sure I got all the wires, but it's possible that one came lose. I'm going to double check everything and connect them properly when I get home. I still think the XVSI adjustment box is defective though.

Its possible. Im a car audio installer and metra makes the worst stuff. Like 50% of the time their interface harnesses work correctly.

i had a similar problem when i installed the same unit. the tech guy at metra suggested unhooking the ground from the battery, reinstalling everything, then turn the key to accessory for 30 seconds before turning the radio on. it seemed to do the trick for the most part. it still doesn't want to turn the radio on sometimes when the key is turned on. i'll have to manually do it on the radio, then everything is okay.

Ya, talked to the tech last night and he told me to do the same thing. The problem is I only have one sub in the rear that's kicking in, the rest don't work. The potentometers aren't adjusting on my box. How are yours? I'm not to pleased with this product
