Has anybody applied dark (limo?) tint to the inside of the targa top? I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't be an easy/cheap way to cut down on interior heat?
While I have not tinted my Vette's targa top, I did double tint the factory sun roof on my Talon and it worked just fine. But it was not as curvy as the Vette top so unless you are good at tinting you might want a pro to do it.
BTW there are companies that make self stick vinyl in Limo tint that you could apply and easily remove it you didn't like it.
You can do what I did and purchased a Targa Shade that fits inside with plastic tabs that make your glass top look like a hard top. Pop it out when you want the view and pop it back on to protect from the heat.. About $59 bucks at Mid, Zip catalogs.. During the summer, man does it get hot inside a black vette with black interior and a glass top, un-touchable hot if you know what I mean... Good luck.
Hi There;
A few years back I bought a head liner from WCC. at carlisle.That was the best $110. I ever spent. Has the suction cups that keep it on plus was made out of the black felt which gives it a factory look.Its been on about 3 years & is not loosing up at all. Very hard to see the cups from the exterior of the car.

Great way to cut down on the heat. You can try the limo tint, but my guess would be it would really defeat the purpose of having the lexan top - to have a nice view out of the roof panel. At least with the targa shade, it can be easily removed for your viewing pleasure.
