I have a 1998 triple black vert I am selling. It has a branded title. I have the GM complete backround report and carfax documentation. GM bought the car back and put a new motor in at 5200 miles. Came from the factory bad. Also had multiple vert top issues so it was replaced. Currently has 67000 miles is in excellent cond. inside and out. Normal maintenance for the rest of it's life. How can I find values for this Car.
so how do I post a question about a c5 on the forum section.
You've posted in the right section for general questions about C5's. JT must be confused and forgot which forum HE was in.
Senior moment? Blue dot sugar cube? Who knows...
Check out the for sale forum here and do a search for your year and model. I've never heard of it called a 'branded' title. I usually see it as 'rebuilt or salvage title'. Each state has a different way i guess.
Does your title have 'Buyback'? The more documentation you can gather, the less impact it should have. If you have documentation where GM or a dealer replaced an engine, etc, I don't think it would affect the value nearly as much as a rebuilt wreck. still, it would be harder to sell and bring a little less $$$, unfair as it might be.
You could do what the dealers (stealers) do - title it in a state that has no category for your branded title. They woul dhave to issue a clean title. Old stealer trick.
