What is the diff from HUD glass and nonHUD glass. My car had a HUD unit added (I do not think the glass would have been changed for that)

I have HUD with a regular windshield and it works fine!

Yea, depending what Corvette you have, Coupe with HUD windshield has a special coat for the reflection. Also Z06 have a thinner windshield to save weight. Rumor has it a standard windshield will still reflect the HUDs (I've heard that, don't know it to be true). Good luck..

all insurance companies cover glass under the comprehensive portion of your policy. even if you have dropped your collision coverage, you should always consider keeping your comp coverage as it covers (among other things) fire, theft, glass breakage, flood damage. depending on where you live you may or may not have a deductible for your front windshield regardless of the comp deductible on other perils. in florida the law is such that even a chip in your line of sight is justifiable cause for replacement and there is no deductible for it.

I read that too. I also read that the ZO6 glass is also the glass used in the verts.

I carry comprehensive insurance because of all of the deer in our area and the glass coverage. It's cheap insurance.
