Header design for the Z06.
I have a question regarding headers for the Z. While most headers are designed for the LS1 only one I know of has the correct "D" shape to match the exhaust port. (Breathless Performance) How important/unimportant is this? It seems logical to me that it's the best set up.

I had gone thru the same question as far as trying to find port matched headers and made as big a stink as anyone to try to find someone to make one and the imprtance to have headers that are port matched. The conclusion I came down to is...
It's not that important.
A lot of people have said that on the board but what did it for me is reading Lingenfelter's book on small block chevys and he mentions something to the effect that as long as the headers ports were larger than the ports on the heads, you're ok.
If Lingenfelter says it's ok... then that's ok with me.
