[Z06] No Black for 2003?

No Black for 2003?
My best friend just got a news letter from GM talking about the 50th anv. cars They will be red & no Z-06 anv. package is mentioned. I expected that but further down in the letter it states that for 2003 Z-06 will be offered in red, electron blue, silver & mil. yellow only. I just can't beleive that there won't be a black Z-06 for 2003. Does any one have a better understanding of this???

Glad to see Torch Red on there though. I've been wanting one for a while. Just a little longer...
I would be shocked if they dropped Black, however.

I haven't heard about Quicksilver and pretty sure it's Pewter and not Quicksilver that's gone... Pewter is the color that I have been hearing beside black and Mag Red 2.
Mag Red 2 is replaced with the Anniversary Red.
Black is replaced with a Metallic Black... maybe it will help hide swirls?
And Pewter is replaced with... forgot what that new color is.

Like I said in a previous thread, I heard that QS is gone completely, replaced by a little darker of a silver, kind of a metallic gun-metal grey.
Can anyone confirm this?

If they go with a metalic black, which I also heard, then that would mean that they are not dropping black Z06's - as metalic black is in fact black with metalic in it. :rolleyes:

The form that I have say's that its Med. Spiral Grey Metallic ( new color, code 88U ). I also can't bieleve that they will not make an aniversary ZO6 or a black one at the least! If its true, I will be very disapointed to say the least. I guess I will have to go with plan "B". Wich is, getting out my brush and roller and painting it what ever color I feel like for that particular afternoon!! You know what time it is don't you? Yes.....its time to raise the flag once again! :bs :bs

No guaratees what colors will be available for the Z... as in the past... what may be offered the coupe may not be offered the Z

The pattern seems to be that GM drops the colors that are not selling. Check the stats on Black
