Now this guy obviously knows nothing about a Corvette or the LS1 and LS6 motors...if he only knew of the C5 reliability tests where they pushed the motor 3X over at full throttle when compared to what a normal motor would take. I read the article somewhere but just can't find it right now. If I remember correct, the requirement was something like 30 hrs straight @ full throttle, but the GM engineer said no two times when he was told the motor had reached the 30 hrs and then 60 hrs benchmarks. He pushed the motor to 90 hrs straight till he was happy.

Oh yeh...it didn't blow either.

I guess it proves the old movie cliche,,"stupid is as stupid does"!! Second rate, has been driver, in a poorly maintained vet,,and it makes nation wide news??? I kinda follow NASCAR,,,for over 40 years,,and NEVER heard of the guy!! The local news gave a promo blurb about it going out to commercial. When the got back to the story,,,I'm thinking,,boy what a whole lot of nothing!! NOW if it had been Gordon,Smoke ,or Junior,,might have been something!! Has been running stupid for no front plate,,,,
