#1 Buy a cup holder. I bought the kind that blends with the interior from MidAmerica. But I think most anyone would work.
#2 Use a hole saw to cut two discs out of wod. I used walnut. Use whatever floats your boat. The discs are the top and bottom of a custom stand that will fit into the cup holder. For that reason, measure the diameter of the cup holder and cut discs to fit close, but not too tight. I'd leave a 1/16" for play.
#3 Cut a 1/2" dowel pin and insert into 1/2" holse you have drilled into the two discs. The length of the dowel pin will be determined by the height of you cup holder. You want the top disc flush with the top of the cup holder.
#4 use double sided tape to hold the black plastic disc that probably came with your GPS onto the top disc. Now just use the suction foot on the black plastic disc and your all set.
I mounted mine in the footwell on the passenger side, But if you buy a different style cup holder you may have to get creative where you mount this item.
I have never been able to figure out the photo stuff on this forum so please don't ask for pictures.
Best wishes.
Glen
