I have a 2002 C5 5.7 stock exhaust now but, I'm thinking about going to an after market Cat-Back. Does anyone have the Pypes "Violator" and is it pretty easy to install with just some ramps?
How is the sound vs stock especially inside at speed?
My 98 roadster came with the Pypes installed, so I have no knowledge of intstallation or comparison to the factory set-up. One YouTube Vette clip is ok, but short; the others are crap, wind sound drowns the action. To my ear the sound is simular to the Corsa Extreme. The note, throaty timber matches the personality of the C5 well, mellow and docile, but all business when riled.
A life snapshot forever imbeded in memory was the first time I laid eyes on at dusk, coming down the ramp at the Denver airport, with a concete magnified healthy rumble The prior owner did a wonderfull detail job, the car flat looked and sounded good, impresssive to anyone, a complete package.
Thank you for the reply, after reading some of the threads that were posted I had some concerns about the quality and fit also. I was hoping that they had made some changes and the fit was better as well as the sound on some later models since some of the threads were some time ago. The price certainly seems good as compared to some other systems but as you know the price and quality need to be equal. Thanks again for the reply.
