So the touch up paint that has been sitting in the center console since I bought it decided to spontaneously leak. Anyone have a source or suggestion for the felt in the bottom of the console? I peeled the felt off and threw it away as it smelled like paint. GM wants $$$$ for a new console as they will not sell just the felt layer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Stop by a custom stereo (do we even say stereo anymore ? I mean Audio) installer. Ask them what spray adhesive they use when they fabricate boxes for components.

You might even pull it and just ask them how much to just cover it for you if you dont want to do it yourself.

That's it! It doesn't have to be the exact same fabric.

A piece of felt would work just fine and shouldn't be too hard to cut to fit and then glue down.

Trying to keep it as OEM as possible. My artistic skills tend more toward the autistic spectrum. I may just have to get a pristine console lower section with it lready in there. The felt from a store is possible, but I have nothing to compare it with for cutting the pattern as the old one ripped in a bunch of pieces getting it out and I pitched it due to the smell. Thanks for the input guys.
