Default 2001 C5 CD Player

Hi everyone,

I am new to this hobby and hope that someone may be able to help me. I have a 2001 C5 Coupe with factory everything. I am having a problem with all CD's, new and old a like, skipping a lot. Has anyone experienced this and what do I need to do to remedy it, tnx, Wayne Taylor.

They just go The Oem unit is almost ten years old now.

You can pick one up (either on the auction site or here in For Sale, post a WTB) for people swapping out to newer aftermarket systems that may have their old stuff for sale.

You might want to consider just disconnecting the rear 12 CD changer and attaching an Ipod adapter for your Aux input. Last time I looked, about $80.

You would have an Ipod either in the center console (although it will roast in there and die fairly soon) or in the glove compartment with 10x the songs you can have on 12 CD's.

Just a thought.

We also have an Audio section Lots of savy people there.

I have a Alpine 6 CD Changer for sale $75 + shipping. It has a great rep for sound and durability, it never skipped when I had it in my C5.

I also have a 99 C5 Bose Delco Cassette H/U for sale $ 25 + shipping.
