NCM Xperience [Pics Inside]

We left Tuesday and started the Bourbon Trail. We visited the six distilleries on the trail. (Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, Four Roses, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and Jim Beam.)
That part alone was a blast.

Well today we finally hit the National Corvette Museum. My family and I purchased an Xperience package for my dad for his birthday in January.
If you are not familiar with the Xperience package, you can read up on it here.
It is a MUST do if you already have your Corvette. I would have driven from California to do this. It was everything I hoped for and then some.
The VIP tour of the assembly plant was amazing, I even gave birth to a new Corvette.
While we were there, there were two new ZR1's being delivered.

One guy was older, probably close to 70 and the other guy was under was "pushing 40 as he put it." Nice cars, but damn did that C5 look good at the front of all of them.
On to the pics...

Crappy Youtube video leaving the museum floor, drew a little crowd:
I cannot say enough about the NCM staff...Gary, Lori and our tour guide for the day, Larry. It was awesome.
Heading up to my sister's tomorrow, then headed home with a lot of booze
and many life long memories.

Sure enough after our plant tour, we came in, and there she sat, all freshly cleaned up. We got all kinds of compliments.
Our tour guide, (who does not have a corvette, but is looking for something just like ours) was interested in buying it. Might have to keep that in mind and look for a C6 Z.
It really was a blast, worth every cent.

The plant tour was the best. Saw the 3rd ZR1 built (red/chrome wheels) just before it came off the line.
The tour lady lied that they weren't making them after I asked about the zr1 stenciled fuel tanks and carbon fiber roof panels we passed while walking. When we made the last turn and I saw it sitting there I looked her right in the eye with a smirk. -Liar.

It really does depend on the tour guide because our guide was very knowledgeable.
We saw quite a few ZR1's being built along the line, but I did not see 1 Z06. According to the people there, the Grand Sport has taken off big time and its leaving the Z in the dust. Those wide body panels and the option of coupe or convertible are swaying people.
But I enjoyed the museum a lot, their inventory is always changing and all the cars I saw looked to be in good shape.
I must say, starting a car on the line was awesome though, my heart skipped a beat when I got to do it.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Right then and there I told myself that when I buy a new one, I'm doing the same thing.

Also I will add that I have tons of pictures of the museum and all the distillery tours on my facebook page. Search my name, or PM me and I'll add anyone here as a friend. I probably have around 400 pictures from the trip up there.

and a must see for any Corvette enthusiast.

I was so excited the morning of it all, that I kept waking up every 10 minutes checking the clock, did not want to miss that alarm.

We did the museum delivery when getting our C6 and glad you did the Xperience for dad a life long memory
