I would just call them and explain. I'm sure they'll make it right with you.
Dont know if this helps, but this is what mine looks like installed.

When they first installed it (back when the car was new to me and I wasnt doing stuff myself) they installed it wrong. They somehow got it mated up with the stock airbridge. So of course sometime down the road it popped off (probably engine torque pulling on the too short assembly (overall length was too short for mounting gromets) and I was driving around with the air bridge seperated from the accordion.
By the time I noticed it it had scarred the hood liner (because it was sticking up)
Adding the appropriate length of that red coupler tubing made it seat properly on the gromets and no trouble since then
That coupling tubing is pretty common in the ricer section of any chain auto parts.
