I have several sets of Z06 wheels but how do I tell between the good Speedlines and aftermarker wheels?
And just b/c they don't say Speedline doesn't mean they are "aftermarket". They may be stamped "GM" and are still original equipment but not Speedline.
I've got one set that has nothing. I know they are aftermarket but the other has the traditional GM markings in the recesses but it only has SL as opposed to Speedline at the end of the spoke.

I've never seen a set of Speedline wheels without the word "Speedline" on the inside of one of the spokes.
But.........
As mentioned above, the '01 and a few '02 Z06s came with Alcoa wheels that have a "GM" stamped on the inside of one of the spokes.
Both types of OEM wheels are very good, light wheels. The Alcoa wheels were forged and the Speedline wheels were spun-cast.
Some say the forged are stronger.
Some say the spun-cast are lighter.
I have even read that the forged are a little "thinner" and the spun-cast a little "thicker" so the differences in strength/weight are negligible.
