I'm about to replace my left front sensor and program all four per the procedure. My question is, does the car need to be driven before programing the sensors? If it's been stationary for a few days, will they program properly?
O.k., Here's what I did. I had the new sensor in my hand inside the car, started the procedure. For the LF sensor I just held the magnet up to it until the horn honked, then proceeded to walk around the car with the magnet, and programmed the other 3. I used a Round oil filter magnet that I had drilled a larger hole in the center, so it fit over the valve stem. Took maybe 8-10 seconds for the horn to honk at each wheel, pressed "Reset", and I was done! Took the car for a quick drive, and they are all working perfectly!
