Meh, he sent me C6 inner brake ducts for my C5, I didn't realize they were the wrong part till a year later. I am sure many of us have parts sitting in their garage for a long time before installing. Would have been nice if he would have exchanged them, but the delicate genious has a policy. Oh well - I shoulda known what the Z06 inner duct I was buying looked like.

Anyway, I will never buy from him again

Goes both ways, Gene is a stand-up guy and very helpful. I'm sure that he would have replaced those parts within a reasonable time period as long as you followed the directions on the website and verified the part number with Gene. I have bought stuff and let it sit for a while, but after a year...I'd suck it up, put 'em up for sale and get the right ones.

And name calling is pretty tacky, not cool.

I Ordered C5 Z06 stabilizer bars for my car. The bushings for the rear were wrong, but Gene promptly identified the problem and shipped the right ones to me at his expense. I'm a satisfied customer.

Waiting more than a year after purchase before reporting the problem is too long.

I call Gene 3 different times and ever time i didn't get the info i wanted, only "Yea, we can get it and that's it", I would like part numbers of things i ordered, apparently it's to much to ask. Like always, there are good and bad. Don't think he walks on water becuase the people with bad service just hardly ever post up.

Parts Taxis got my business and they were cheaper and more friendly.

Hey look, you asked me about a month ago (March - April 2010) and you purchased the brake ducts from me November 2008. As I mentioned in an email and as I will clearly mention here, go to any retail store and tell them you have a problem with an item you bought a year and a half ago and see what they tell you. It is what it is.

If you call a parts business, I'd expect for you to be looking for parts, not part numbers. I'm always honest and up front, and in this situation, we pay $1500 per month to use the GM catalog, so we don't freely hand out part numbers. Some people like the idea, and some don't, but that is business.

I mean, if you find a lesser expensive price shipped, from any other dealer, we are very happy to price match, so no games are needed when purchasing.

Thanks for the positive and negative feeback. When you have lovers and haters, you know you've done well in business. Thanks to all of you for your business. I certainly appreciate it.
