Hey folks, I know some of you have heard it before but, I just got rid of my run flats and bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS 2's. I had a road force balance. Also had a 4 wheel allignment at Tony's Corvette Shop. What a difference! It's like a different car! The car has a softer ride, way better handling and even steers much better, as much less correcting is necessary. My allignment wasn't out very much, so the tires made the difference. I don't know if they are quieter or not, as my car is a vert and I had the top down. All of you still riding on run flats are really missing out!
I thought about the possibilities of having a flat tire, but the only one I can recall was in 1998. I travel I 270 and the Washington belt way to get to my boat and would not consider trying to change a tire on those roads anyway. I'll just call AAA.
Ditched mine this year and could feel the difference before getting out of the parking lot
I'm thinking of ditching the whole Corvette, this is ridiculous you buy a expencive high performance car and have to change practically everything on it! sheesh i was better of with a mustang. Atleast i didn't change everything to be happy with it!.

Let me know if you want a Mustang. I'll make you a good deal on a one-owner 2007 GT Convertible. It's the car I upgraded from when I got my Corvette!
I wonder what happens when you get a flat tire? because the run flats should take you 200 miles to get a repair since the 'Vettes don't have a spare tire or a jack.
Thanks for the write-up, I'm leaning more and more towards ditching the run-flats the next time. AAA is only a phone call away
I bought my 2003 'Vette last November and it has Michelin Run flats on it and so I really don't know how other tires will feel but when I ned a set I am going to try some other Michelin tire, judging on the wear the tires have this might not be for another 20,000 miles.

Even with a Mustang you would have to buy new tires eventually. Plus the non-run flats are cheaper. I don't understand your point?
