I've noticed that when I wear some dress shoes ( w/leather soles) the pedals feel a little too slick for comfort. Also sometimes when my shoes are wet it feels the same.
Two pedals need to be rough, Clutch & Brakes, they should have sharp points to stick to your shoes.. Gas pedal needs to be slippery, so you can adjust your foot without jamming the pedal. The dead foot, can be anything, it's just a rest... Not sure if you track your vehicle, but if you do and you need to heal/toe the brake and gas then the above applies.. Good luck.

awesome! I was just wondering why the petal texture is different. that makes perfect sense. these are on my list.

I was considering CCA's black block finish which has a block texture on all the pedals, including the gas (Just like the set in the picture above). Based on the above recommendation, any concern with the gas pedal having the block finish?
MSG C5, only if the block finish grabs your sole of the shoes. If the gas pedal sticks to your shoes. Your heal should be planted and as you step forward on the gas pedal the pedal and contact of your shoes changes or slips, this is the only pedal that should slip under your foot. This allows micro adjustment of the pedal since C5 has electronic wire throttle it is very senitive to pedal movement. A sticking pedal will jerk and casue problems... I made that mistake 20 years ago on my 280ZX (purchase a grippy pedal cover), I took that off in 2 days and left the plastic stock one there. If you notice your stock C5 pedal is smooth with lines going top to bottom, no chance of sticking. Good luck.
